Music MinistrySt. John the Evangelist Music Ministry is devoted to inspiring the sung prayer of the worshipping assembly. Join together in song, under the direction of Consuelo De Los Santos. Ministry at MassLectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and Altar Servers participate in the celebration of the Liturgy during both daily and weekend Masses Pastoral MinistryMembers of this ministry support the Pastor in meeting the spiritual needs of parishioners. A few examples of pastoral care are home and hospital visits, communion calls, providing support to families who have suffered a loss, and pastoral counseling. Evangelization MinistrySaint John's Evangelizers joyfully look for opportunities to speak about Christ to both the faithful and non-believers. Faith Sharing is an essential aspect of the Lord's call to witness the word and works of God to others. |
Liturgical CouncilThe Liturgy Committee collaborates with the parish Pastor to ensure parishioners a worship experience that fosters a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. The committee also coordinates the planning and scheduling of liturgical celebrations for seasonal and special celebrations. Parish Pastoral CouncilThe Parish Council is a consultative body to the parish Pastor. It provides recommendations for parish priorities, direction and policies to promote communication, understanding, and collaboration among parish organizations and between the parish, the Diocese, and the universal Church. Finance CouncilThe Finance Council is a consultative body who assists and advises the parish Pastor in the administration of the parish financial resources including monitoring all income and expenses, and preparation of the annual budgets. |
LectorLectors are readers who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services. Eucharistic MinisterExtraordinary Ministers of Communion administer the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. Altar ServersAltar Servers assist the priest and deacon at masses, weddings, funerals and other special liturgies and services. UsherUshers are the eyes and ears of the congregation. They strive to create an environment where all feel welcome and provide assistance during the warm place of worship. GreetersGreeters welcome everyone as they enter our church making it a warm, welcoming and inviting place of worship. |
