Parish Councils and Committees

PASTORAL COUNCIL

The Pastoral Council is a consultative body to the parish Pastor. The purpose of the Council is to form community as a sign and witness of unity for the larger parish community; to provide recommendations for parish priorities, direction and policies; to promote communication, understanding, and collaboration among parish organizations and between the parish, the Diocese, and the universal Church. Members must be baptized and confirmed Catholics, registered and supporting members of the parish, and active in parish life. Members are nominated by fellow parishioners and serve a term of three years, renewable for a second three year term. Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month.

The committee coordinates the planning and scheduling of liturgical celebrations for seasonal and special celebrations, and ensures compliance with the liturgical guidelines, norms and policies of the parish, Diocese, and universal Church. Members must be fully initiated Catholics in good standing with the Church, and be registered and supporting members of the parish. Members should also be actively connected and concerned with all of the aspects of the liturgical and sacramental life of the parish as well as have knowledge of liturgical norms and rubrics of the Diocese and universal Church. Meeting are held monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month.

Members must be fully initiated Catholics in good standing with the Church, registered and supporting members of the parish, and have knowledge and expertise in the areas of business, administration, law, and financial management. Meetings are held quarterly or on an as needed basis.

STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE
